Total TV Ratings for November 1, 2021

The season launch of Parental Guidance was the top non-news program in the total TV ratings with 1.161m tuning in, an increase of 33%.

The launch of Big Brother VIP had 809,000 viewers after going up a robust 44%. 

Both shows’ consolidated audiences may have been aided by Melburnians catching up after last week’s public holiday.

Have You Been Paying Attention? was the top show on 10 with 928,000 viewers.

Nine cruised to another Monday night win as Parental Guidance has helped steer the broadcaster to another top primary channel (20.5%) and network (28.9%) share.

A Current Affair had 717,000 viewers as the program covered a Covid-19 victim’s recovery battle after 108 days in the hospital.

The fourth episode of Parental Guidance had 604,000 viewers as the Helicopter, Tiger, Disciplined, Free Range and Home School parents took on a series of challenges. The Helicopter parents featuring Nine’s Sam Thaiday were given top honours for their work. This episode was the top non-news program of the night but the ratings were down on last week’s launch of 629,000.

Love Island Australia then followed with 263,000 viewers. The episode saw Mitch Hibberd return to the villa alone, signalling a desire to stay with Tina Provis.


Home and Away started off its week with 516,000 viewers.

This was followed by Big Brother VIP with 363,000 viewers. The episode saw Thomas Markle Jr. write a second letter to his sister Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, following the famous one he sent Harry before their wedding. The episode also saw Caitlyn Jenner self-evict herself after wanting to go back and focus on her political aspirations. 

9-1-1 had 225,000 before the reincarnation of Fantasy Island debuted to 114,000 viewers.


The Project had 224,000 (6:30pm) and 395,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed the Western Australia border debate.

Celebrity MasterChef had 477,000 viewers as Rebecca Gibney won immunity with her tortellini.

Have You Been Paying Attention? was the top program for 10 last night with 582,000. The episode featured Aaron Chen, Emma Holland, Fifi Box, Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang and was #1 in all key demos.


Australian Story covered a Sydney family who is taking on the Minneapolis police department in a long-running court battle to hold officer Mohamed Noor accountable for the death of Justine Ruszczyk. The episode had 459,000 viewers.

Four Corners had 518,000 viewers as Angus Grigg investigated the millions being made by the Obeid family.

Media Watch had 499,000 viewers.


The top program on SBS was a repeat of Britains’s Most Historic Towns with 142,000 viewers.
