Mothers and fathers are at odds with the school district’s new LGBTQ+ advisory committee. 

Public remark at the most current Leon County Universities board meeting incorporated a parents’ legal rights advocate who explained the committee did not include enough “diversity of believed,” even though LGBTQ advocates were being involved that the chair of Leon County’s Mothers for Liberty experienced a place on the panel. 

The committee, approved very last 7 days, has 15 customers created up of district directors, instructors, learners and dad and mom.

“How do we marry initially trying to keep our children safe and sound, how do we keep our academics harmless and how do we abide by the Parents’ Bill of Rights? That’s the intention of the committee,” said Leon County Educational institutions Superintendent Rocky Hanna.
